These are plain-language summaries written so anyone can read them. They describe how Silq handles your data, your account and your money.
This explains what information Silq collects, why, and what we do and don't do with it.
To operate the service: capture orders, match payments, surface your dashboard and notify you of activity. We use aggregated, de-identified data to improve how the AI understands orders. We do not use the contents of your conversations to advertise to you.
Only the processors needed to run Silq, for example payment and messaging providers, under strict agreements. We never sell your data, and we never sell your customer list.
We keep your data for as long as your account is active, plus any period the law requires for financial records. You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or close your account and have personal data deleted. Reach us any time through the in-app chat or at privacy@silq.africa.
These are the rules for using Silq. By creating an account you agree to them.
You must be able to enter a binding agreement and operate a real business. You're responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. Verified-owner actions, like moving money, stay tied to the owner's identity.
Silq is free during the closed beta. When paid plans begin, pricing is a clear monthly subscription plus a low per-transaction fee, shown to you before anything is charged. You can cancel at any time; there's no lock-in.
We work hard to keep Silq reliable and offline-resilient, but we provide it "as is" and can't guarantee uninterrupted service. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the prior three months. We may update these terms; we'll tell you before material changes take effect.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Extra terms that apply because Silq handles real orders and real money on your behalf.
Every merchant is verified before going live, a physical visit confirms the business is real and where it says it is, and the account is bound to the owner's verified identity. Verification can be re-checked, and listings found to be false are removed.
We may suspend an account for suspected fraud, repeated complaints, or breaches of these terms, and we'll explain why. You can close your account at any time; settled funds remain yours and outstanding obligations survive closure.
We're onboarding businesses in batches. Tell us about yours and we'll reach out to get you set up: WhatsApp, menu, and a verification visit.
No spam. We only message you about your onboarding.
